Aaron, I was driving through Missouri one evening during the first week of April (a sentence I didn't think I would ever type) when this album was featured on Bluegrass Junction. You've captured it. A very bland recording, in my opinion. What was worse, for me, was listening to the enthusiasm that Doyle had in his voice while he was discussing the album- he quite obviously loves this music. You highlighted two of the songs that I thought were dreadful, the Dobro Joe song and the drunk driver drivel. But, hey, you missed the sweet tea of I'm That Country, O! and the mules. Ya gotta have mules if you're from the country. And Dixie Road. An album which, in my opinion, has little to offer. Hate to pile on, but I'm glad you called it like you heard it.
